Essay For Village Life

Village life represents to living lifestyle and condition of the rural people, but the city life represents the modernity and lifestyle of urban people. We can say that there is the huge difference between a village and urban life. Both city and village life have their own functional aim and objectives. Village life grants calmness, serenity, good environment, agricultural life to people. But city life provides modernity, education, good learning, and culture. If we talk about amenities and facilities, there is a wide gap between village and city life. But Villagers also enjoyed good and better life. The villagers also enjoyed comfort, solace, pleasure, and relief in their life.I tend to believe that village life and urban life have their functional motives and their objectives. I discuss my viewpoints in the upcoming paragraph.

From my perspective,In past era, people mostly like to live in villages and busy in agriculture and earn the good income. People usually occupied and engaged in agriculture in ancient times. But now in the modern era, the situation has been reversed. There has been more growth in industrial age, in a modern era.The urban population has been extended to the rural population and more people like to live in city area as compared to the village area.

Furthermore, there has been more growth and extension in city life and more facilities are available in city area so more people like to live in an urban area due to more facilities, convenience, and comfort as compared to village life. They get more satisfaction in live in city area as compared to the village area. More facilities of transportation and communication bring thousands of people together and closer to each other and they prefer to live in the city area. The growth and extension of the city and urban area have totally changed the mindset of people and people prefer urban life due to many reasons. There is a wide difference between the urban and village life with the more expansion and growth in an urban area.

Moreover, I have discussed the advantages and disadvantages of village life.In the villages, there is no din and noise and we can enjoy happy and peaceful life. There is a calm and quiet environment. We can enjoy nature. People enjoy there to look after their cattle, fields, and agriculture. People are very innocent, kind-hearted and religious. People enjoy pure air and free from environmental pollution life. They feel delighted and pleasure in worship god. On the flip side, there are no more educational facilities, transportation amenities. There are no good doctors or hospitals for the treatment of people. There is more illiteracy in village areas as compared to urban areas. People more believe in superstitions in village life. They indulge in illusions that distract them from the real life. People usually waste their time in idle gossips in villages.

Apart from that, City life is full of allure, enchantment, magic, fascination, and attraction. City life is more appealing to the people. There are huge facilities in cities such as magnificent building, shopping complexes, best colleges and educational facilities for common people. There are a lot of transportation are available.

We can easily move from one place to another with the help of good transportation. There is the huge difference in the lifestyle of urban people. They like to wear attractive dresses, adopt modernism that is totally absent from village people. All these things dazzle and appealing to the newcomers who enter the urban area. Moreover, habits and manners of urban people are different from villagers.

Urban people are more civilized and educated as compared to village people. There is more football and cricket matches, public meetings, and speeches by eminent personalities are organized in urban areas that these things are totally disappeared and absent from village life. On the flip side, city life is good for rich people. City life is more expensive and busy in their life. They do not have a single minute and they worked like a machinery to earn money and raise their standard of living.

In conclusion, we can say that city life is full of muddy lanes while a city is there are many streets and hundreds of huge houses and buildings, They are more skyscraper in city areas that touch the sky. Secondly, in a city area, there is the main market and large shops while in villages only a few shops are available to meet the requirements of the common people. Thirdly, there are few motor cars are available in villages while in city area there is good transportation facility, more vehicles are there, even people have their own cars to move from one place to another.

Finally, there are only standalone cinemas in villages but in a city area, more cinema malls, post offices, public buildings, Hence life in urban areas are full of entertainment and lot of choices. Our village economy is based on agriculture, The air is fresh and people are very innocent, and village area is free from smoke.

Village Life Is Better

There is a silent debate concerning the relative merits of life in villages or rural areas as compared to life in urban centers. From the days following the industrial revolution, there has been increasing tendency for more and more rural populations to migrate to urban areas or cities in search of better living or economic opportunities. This demographic redistribution is reinforced by the ever increasing growth of urban areas and the springing up of new world. The scenario which I have described is not localized to any country or region but it is a worldwide phenomenon. This uninterrupted growth in urban population has gone on for the better part of one and a half centuries. Underlying this re-characterization of the world’s population distribution is a cultural re-orientation based on an unspoken stereotype: city life is inherently better and preferable to village life.

Arguments in Support of City life as against Village Life

The unspoken stereotype which motivates rural urban migrations is that life in cities is better and more preferable to village life. Those who hold this view base their assumption on the many conveniences, facilities and economic opportunities available in cities when compared to villages. It is undoubtedly true that cities have better houses, roads, public facilities, industries, schools, and economic facilities than villages.

What Constitutes a Qualitative Life?

It would be wrong to conclude that the quality of life in cities is better than in villages based on the aforementioned. The real question is “what constitutes a qualitative life?” Is it made up of better facilities and conveniences alone? In my estimation, qualitative life borders on a holistic wellness based on physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. And in this regard, it is undoubtedly true that life in villages trumps city life in several important respects. In the first instance, life in villages is less stressful. Living in cities is undoubtedly associated with living on the fast lane which could result in burnout and nervous wrecks. Again, the environment in villages is less polluted and there is certainly less crime. Also, isolationism and alienation is a very real and common phenomenon in cities with heterogeneous populations whereas ethnic and cultural homogeneity is usually the norm in villages resulting in better integration and mutual care among village inhabitants. Perhaps the greatest telling factor in this debate is the tendency for people to periodically retire to the villages to recuperate or to enjoy the bounties and health benefits of Mother Nature. On these premises, we can safely conclude that village life is indeed better than urban life.
